Evaluation of outcome in arc of motion of elbow after arthrolysis in post-traumatic stiff elbow through posterior triceps reflecting anconeus pedicle approach

Background: The elbow is a synovial hinge joint, with high chance of stiffness. A stiff an loss extension >30° and flexion <120 which can result due to post-traumatic events around elbow. Surgical intervention required if conservative treatment fails. arthrolysis the by posterior approach has been reported less widely. Aims Objectives: This study aims at reporting arc motion after TRAP approach. Material Methods: was done on 26 patients stiffness through triceps reflecting anconeus pedicle graft mean age in our 30.8, ranging from 15 54 years. After surgery, were reviewed assess fixed deformity (FFD) improvement, MAYO oxford score. Results: Our showed increase 50.7° 90.7°, FFD decrease 31.3° 18.2° score had pre-operative 77.3, increased 90 postoperatively excellent 18 cases (69.2%) good eight (30.8%). Oxford improvement 21.8 40.3 showing satisfactory 11 cases. Conclusion: described ideal for bony blocks maintaing intact extensor mechanism neurovascular damage. Stability joint maintained feasability do ulnar nerve transposition.
